Chassis L01-1UAC-7638
Model No. MS3252S431

I have searched other posts for a fix, but haven't come across one (to my unexpert eye) where all the symptoms are simliar to mine.

About 6 months ago no matter how often I disabled it, Closed captioning kept turning on for certain channels (NBC) and captioning the programs in Spanish. It was annoying but not a huge problem as it was only a few remote clicks from going away.

About 1 month a go, I noticed the Vertical Size was growing, for example, I could not read scrolling scores on ESPN, headlines on CNN etc. they were being cropped out.

Last week the right side of the image became uneven. Almost as if there was something preventing the image from fully spanning all the way to the left. Would only crop up about 1-2 inches from the right and then would gradually expand as the set warmed up. Almost had a liquid kind of flowing property until warmed up. Then the screen would fill out and work ok (still cropping the top and bottom though)

Two days a go the I was watching the set, it started doing it's wavy right side thing, and then started automatcially scrolling through the inputs and then the menu appeared (in Spanish) and was seemingly navigating itself before it shut down.

I was able to get the set to come back on the next morning, but only through an ordeal of hitting the power switch on about 25-30 times. It seemed to get a little closer to starting up with every time i hit the switch, no sound at first or any kind of picture, then a high pitch kind of whining and a flash of white before shutting itself down. I continued hitting the power button culminating in a very wavy picture in the middle third of the screen that seemed to be out of color alignment. It would flow in and out of alignment and shut off after a few seconds, until finally it would get everything synched up and turn on (following the wavyness on the right hand side.)

I can keep the set on for about 2 hours before it starts scrolling through the menus and renders itself inoperable for about 12-15 hours.

I am out of work and can't afford a new set. If anyone out there can help me I'd be very grateful.

Thanks in advance.
