I am currently deployed and do not have the capability to go to a repair shop to fix my tv. I do have a good amount of skill in being able to do the troubleshooting steps. I just need assistance on what steps are required to narrow down which part of the tv has went bad so that I can get a replacement.

The tv was plugged into a coax jack that due to our atmosphere here had become charged and it discharged the electricity into the port. So I would assume that is the part that is bad but I do not see any caps being shot or any fuses. It currently is just very white. all buttons and remote respond and I can see things on the television when using input and just the menus however its barely able to be seen due to the screen being white.

I have pictures of the internal board's numbers. I have mroe pics than what i am placing in the post so if they are needed I will add them.

I appreciate any help anyone can provide. Its kind of one of the few things we have to do over here.

TV model: Avol ALT32130M
32" LCD

Did everyone but me get an IMAX monitor?

The thin foil trace at the bottom of the last board [s]photo[/s] tapestry doesn't appear too happy.

Great catch on seeing that trace being zapped.

This forum's software is pretty old. There's not really an easy way for me to fix the pictures sizes for you. You could edit the post with other links from imgur that are somewhere around 800x600.

Where there's one, there may be others.
