I want to replace 2 capacitors in my zenith tv sweep module, for the pincushion circuit. One is a 33uf 16 volt and the other is a 470uf 35 volt. They are the radial aluminum electrolyte type and they are polarity sensitive. I am finding capacitors with the same values, but am having a hard time finding the same external dimensions. Does the physical size matter as long as the values are correct? |

As long as there is sufficient space on the circuit board - size won't matter. Be sure to maintain SAME ufd. You can go one or two standard voltages higher, again as long as board space permits. |

Thank you, that's what I was hoping. Ironicly the dimensions of the replacements were smaller that the original part |

Automobiles show the same tendency.
If these posts all pertain to the SAME Zenith repair, for heavens sake don't start any more threads. Continue on in one of the first two. Should also include model number somewhere. |
