I have a Dynex model #DXLCD19. The set shows the red led light when plugged in. When you push power button, the blue light comes on,I hear a faint click, then the backlight comes on,goes to white screen, then nothing. Can't change channels, access menu, just power button on/off works. Have tried on/off many times,unplugging/replugging no difference. Is there a common fix to this brand of tv? thanks |

Only "common fix:"
Buy LCD/Plasma TV - use for 2 to 7 years - throw out (recycle) - Buy another LCD/Plasma TV. Repeat as necessary. |

There's always somebody that has nothing better to do than waste our time. |

Not familier with Dynex, Research shows that they are not a manufacturer. However, Your symptom suggests bad main board due to no menu or a bad T- Con board. Try this. Hook up an input from a known good source such as a VCR or DVD using AV only. Insert DVD or Tape and push play. Turn on TV and Turn volume up (I know, you can't tell if the volume is actually going up but just do it long enough to make sure the volume is good and loud.) Then slowly and repeatedly hit your input button on your remote (the one that came with the TV, not your cable remote) and see if you can get the sound to work. If you hit the input that makes your audio work you most likely have a panel or T-Con board bad. If you cannot get your sound to work change the main board.
I know, You say where do I get parts. Good question. With the back off examine the main board carefully and pull any printed identification on stickers or stenciled on the board.
Run these numbers here: http://www.shopjimmy.com/
This company sells pulls. Only option my friend!!
Hope this helps
