Model No: LC320EM2
My daughter was watching TV one day when the power went out for a few seconds and the TV wouldn't come back on after that. It sat for some time after that until I was able to research it. I found a video on YouTube of a guy doing a repair on a TV with the same problem and he recommended a power supply repair kit from shopJimmy for $20. I tested all of the parts listed in the kit and they were dead. I don't know how to do that kind of soldering so I had my husband's cousin do it and replace all of the pieces from the kit. I got the board back home, hooked everything back up, plugged it in and nothing happened. I waited about 20 seconds and pressed the power button again and the fuse blew immediately.
Any ideas what could still be the problem? It was a fairly cheap TV, but I'm still annoyed that it broke since we didn't watch it often. |

At least two possibilities:
1) One or more parts in kit may have been installed incorrectly (for example: a part mounted backwards, wrong diode in wrong location).
2) Something else is still bad that parts kit didn't encompass.
