Got this Hisense 32H3E tv for free and it wasn't turning on. Bought a main board off ebay and it powers up fine but has a bad picture. Can any one lead me in the right direction. Picture looks kind of cartoonish if that makes any sense.

Solarization.
IF tcon is part of the Main board - try another board.
IF tcon is part of the LCD panel - shop for new TV. |

I've seen something like this before on a Samsung TV.
I'm not familiar with that model, but often mainboards span several different types of display panels... So on some tv's you have to enter the service mode and switch something for your particular panel. |

got bored and gave this tv another shot. No luck finding any info online for this model to getting into any service mode. I'd hate to buy another board and end up in the same boat. If anyone has info on how to get into service mode it would be greatly appreciated. |

I'm not sure how to get to a service mode for this TV, but I can assure you that is a hardware failure you are looking at. |
