The screen went black instantly, sound OK, picture still running on torch test,
any suggestions, please

Bad LED bulb(s) inside panel are most likely.

Thank you, I've gone so far with disassembly but having trouble with accessing the backlight kit is there a manual I can download.

I haven't found a service manual for TV. Panel disassembly probably wouldn't be addressed anyway. You could try searching by panel part number on a sticker on the back of panel.
