We have a 6 year old Hitachi 65SWX20B that when you turn it on, all that happens is the red light comes on in front. We did have a electrical transformer changed in our neighborhood lately along with a little lightning. Any ideas on what might have happened?

Start by seeing if the power supply is providing any voltages.
