Hey everyone, My name is Nigel. Good to meet everyone, and glad to be a apart of this forum. I have little experience with tv's, but I'm hoping to learn from you guys. Hopefully we can all come out of this with more experience and knowledge and find the right solution.

TV Model: Hitachi Projection Color TV. Model 65SWX20B

Problem: Power is on (Red Indicator) and comes off as well, but there is no picture or sound.

Possible solution: I found this on the repair tips, but not sure if it would be a solution for my model tv:Hitachi 53" 53FDX20B - - Video Red light is on, but no pic or sound or OSD C603= .068uF/50V poly cap

I'm not sure how to read that last part and find it on the tv. If you need pictures to direct me, I can provide them. Just let me know

Thank you to everyone for the input advice and help.

Nigel

http://www.partstore.com/Part/Hitachi+Ltd/Hitachi/65SWX20B/Hitachi+Ltd/Hitachi/0279692R/New.aspx

C603 is the location number (on the boards - in the parts list - on the schematics) of the part in question. Its ratings are .068ufd at 50 volts (100 volts will also work) polyester capacitor.

To say that both these models use the same part for the same function (Pin 7 of I601), you'd have to intimately know these "chassis" (or have the service literature for both sets).
