This is probably your answer. READ CAREFULLY and do not jump to conclusions. If this is over your head I would suggest calling someone that is qualified.

Part number for the board assy's (you get all three) is JT25591R and costs $231.13

Clean the spark gaps first and if that is the answer the color will return to normal. If you unplug the CRT PCB and provide a photo I can point out the spark gaps. (they have covers on them) You can clean them with 400 ~ 600 grit sandpaper.

OVERHEATED COMPONENTS ON THE CRT PWB (Discolored or Carbonized)

Any of the following components: Q805 Q855 Q8A5 Q804 Q854 Q8A4 R815 R865 R8C5 R813 R863 R8C3 R814 R864 R8C4

There are 2 possibilities, each producing the same results, low ohm ground return on the Cathode circuit.

(1) The CRT is internally "snapping" grid to ground.

(2) The Spark Gap is providing the Ground return due to gap contamination.

IF YOU CAN REPAIR THE CRT PWB you need to replace the Particular CRT on which the CRT PWB with overheated components are found.

Replace All Spark Gaps on each CRT PWB.

Please replace all 100 ohms resistors going to the grid R815, R865, R8C5 on each CRT PWB with Metal oxide resistors.

Use Part number: AT03242S, (100 ohm 1 watt) Metal Oxide.

IF YOU CAN NOT REPAIR THE CRT PWB you need to replace the Particular CRT on which the CRT PWB with overheated components are found.

Replace All CRT PWBs.

NOTE: Before Installing the new CRT PWBs;

Replace all 100 ohms resistors R815, R865, R8C5 on each CRT PWB with Metal oxide resistors.

Use Part number AT03242S, (100 ohm 1 watt) Metal Oxide.

Hope this helps

Changing the crt fluid sounds a lot easier than all that.

I am just about as far away as you can get. Think Fairbanks, Alaska.
