|
|
Got this Insigna plasma INP4219 that when powering on makes a little thump in the speakers then shuts down.
Check all fuses ok , no component burnt , checked many transistors in power supply ok.
Don't really know where to start or look at in this one.
Any hints welcome,
TIA |

start by checking resistance to gnd on the PS connectors..........then disconnect PCB's one at a time |

Peggs , I have check the resistance to ground at P5 connector (you had suggested connector PS, I can't find it).
Resistance looks shorted to ground. I have check VS pin to Grnd.
But the fuse is good , removing the fuse , tv stays on (blue led) but nothing .
Putting the fuse back , I can hear a faint buzz from power supply , and led return to red , and cycle again.
Thus removing the big connector going to Ysus , no more faint buzz of the power supply.
By the way ,this Insignia has all LG boards and stuff inside.
Thanks |

PS stands for Power Supply..........
check resistance to gnd on ALL connectors !!!.......if you find a short, unplug pcb's til it's gone.......then you'll be headed in the right direction.......

Had work a bit on this one , disconnecting the YSUS makes this tv stay on (blue led).
I found in my junk another Ysus board , and switched it , now blue LED stays on , but no pic (only hear a pussshhh in speakers for a second), that's all (nothing ,no osd).
All inside tells it is a LG tv.
What can be wrong in the Ysus (everything I check seems good) ?? is there any rebuilders for these boards ? Can I have a way to illuminate the screen to check ? ........ ? ..... ? ....... ?
TIA |

The Y board wouldn't happen to be a Samsung # LJ92-001200A would it?
I've got a set in here with the very same problem- |

Sounds like you both have bad buffers along with bad YSUS. Common problem
for the Samsung. Not enough info for the LG made unit. |
