Question hi everyone, my 42 inch jvc plasma has developed 3 vertical black lines running from the bottom of the screen to half way up. They are about 40mm wide. I have checked the ribbon cable that is in the general location of the faults inside the tv and reseated it but no luck. Running out of ideas now...if anyone has a suggestion i'd really appreciate it. Cheers

Symptom: Vertical black line(s), colored line(s) and/or black band(s) appear on screen.

Cause: The V's voltage is set higher than normal. Operating for 1000 hours or more with the V's voltage set too high causes the described symptom.

Solution: Readjust the Vs and Vd voltage.

First: Read the Vs value on the back of the panel and adjust VR551 (on the power supply) so the Vs voltage falls within +/- 1.0V of the target value. If the Vs value is more than 175V, adjust to 175V.

Second: Read the Vd value on the back of the panel and adjust VR351 (on the power supply) so the Vd voltage falls within +/- 1.0V of the target value. If the Vd value is more than 65V, adjust to 65V.

If PDP still displays the previously described symptom, replace the PDP panel.
