My 5-year old Sony KV-36FS100 died on me back in April.

Recently, I have found someone to take my TV away. But, before I commit to just throwing away the TV, I wanted to check one last time whether there is a quick fix to my problem. If there is, I would attempt to fix it. Otherwise, I would just let her go. Any help would be appreciated.
