NO
7837=7085 nte
7836=7104
7835=1885

-do you have nte's software?
-do you have an old nte/ecg paper catalog?
-with both you can look up your ic and cross check pinouts/specs (there are
also links in the software to nte's data sheets-I find it's just as fast to
look in the paper catalog)
-or you could probably find spec sheets online somewhere if you want to
confirm my opinion

Good morning. To the best of my knowledge;
LA7830 is unique (7 pin)
LA7831 is unique (10 pin)
LA7833 replaces a LA7832
LA7835 replaces a LA7836
LA7838 replaces a LA7837
BUT not the other way around. The replacement ICs have higher B+ and are
used in larger screen sets.
LA7840 and LA7841 cross to same NTE7153, I'm not sure which is stronger.
LA7845 is unique ?, using + and - supplies.
LA7848 is unique, 7 pin but different pin arrangement.
LA78040 replaces AN5522 and TDA8172
LA78041 is unique
LA78045 is unique, using + and - supplies.
John.

I think there might be a reference zener that sets up the voltage on pin1,
make sure the supply is clean/ replace the diode.
change the capacitors on pin1, along with the other supply caps. (pin 7? &
13).

those panasonics had a bunch of bad .01 or .1uf caps throughout the set too.
