Hello,

Hoping someone could help. I recently got this TV used, and was stated that it had an issue with the screen flickering in and out of focus. Assumed it would just be a board replacement, so grabbed it and replaced both the Main board, and TCON board, but still having the same issue. The thing I noticed, is that it's only happening in about 2/3 of the screen (middle and lower thirds), so thought maybe something with the lights itself.

Notice the line across the middle and bottom, and the blur that occurs.

I'm out of ideas on what to try next, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

My opinion ... Bad tab bond(s).

Thanks for the reply JTS1957 - thinking you're right.

Was going to try and replace it with my friend, but at this point I just gave it to him to see if he could work with the bonds (I didn't feel like messing with that).

Was worth a try for a project to learn a bit more about TV's.
