Chassis: 32T800 7629
Serial: 77488632

When the television is turned on, the picture comes on very dark and distorted for approximately 15 seconds and then the screen goes out. The power light does stay on. I have not tried anything yet...just trying to see if anyone can give me a clue as where to start.

Try C2455 47ufd@25V

If G2 is too high or low the IK circuit will shut the set down.

I found C2455. Is there an actual test point to check the voltage or do I need to check it on the actual capacitor?

You need to take that one out and install another one with the same ratings and see if solves your problem. Take note of Polarity!

Mark G2 (knob on flyback) and move it down (CCW) about 6 degrees and see if that helps. Some controls were very touchy and had a "sweet spot." If no effect line control back to your mark.
Now if you're sure control was never touched I'd try cap 1st.
