This monitor was already on its way out. The screen would jump up and down. There would be a thin white line going up and down the screen. There was about a 1inch horizontal section on the screen near the top that was out of focus, rest of the screen was in focus. The screen would just suddenly go black and just before it did that, there would be a solid silverish line going horizontal in the middle of the screen.

I thought there was a lot of heat coming from the back and so I cut a hole in the top back of the case and installed a DC fan I took from a dead PSU and connected it to a 12v wall PSU.

After I did that, the picture stopped coming on at all.

The Power will come on and the relays click inside and the status led will come on and if I leave it on long enough, I can feel some heat coming from the hole I cut in the case.

I have done a visual check inside and found nothing yet that may indicate the problem.

Any ideas?
