Pincushion problem? I worked on a couple of these a few years back and I thought there was a kit available that had IC750, Q702, R517, etc. I changed IC750, Q702 and R517 and it's still bowed. Don't know what I could be missing. Anyone run into this problem before?
I've heard it mentioned R517 burns up because of a bad CRT socket? Suppose I'll check that next. |

Dave, If r517 is open, you may want to check
C524, may be shorted.
Or there is excessive secondary current in the
flyback So Replace the crt socket p/n K31B10CA00042.
ALSO check D409. |

Does that set have the small PC board on the right side near the fly? If so
check the caps and the pot. |

Yes R517, and check C524, C755., C757, R246 (smd) |
