|
|
I have a Philips 27" 27PT5445/37 tv (chassis number L03.1U AA) which had a black horizontal line going across the top for the past month or so. The bar started at about 1", and over time got to about 4" (it would get smaller if the tv was on for a while).
Well, now if the tv is turned on, there is about a 10"+ black bar across the top of the tv and then the tv turns off after about a second.
Scouring the internet and these forums I have seen some similar problems with similar tvs, but not this exact model. I assume that the problem is some capacitor is bad, but I don't know which one. If anybody has any ideas of how to fix this it would be very helpful. |

Ok, I'll try that. Do you know the specs on the D6460? It is surface mounted and the writing is too small for me to read. |

Vertical Foldover Then Shutdown: Found C2465 bad 10ufd @ 160 Volts, also D6460 SMD under chassis. I replaced diode with NTE519. Set worked fine. Also NTE177 should work. I could not get SMD in.
D6460: #319801010630 / BAS316 or 9340 549 45115. |

Hey guys thanks for the part number for D6460.
I am having problems locating Cap 2465 - adjacent to D6460 is C2463 on Model 27mt3305/17 is this the same cap?
And if so, is it 10uf at 160 volts because another part of the forum stated that C2463 was 100mfd at 50 vdc. |

All parts are on Main board - caps on the top - diode on bottom.
You do realize you posted on "wrong" thread? |

I realize this is an old thread, but I just wanted to say thanks because after changing the capacitor and the diode my TV is fixed.
I bought my parts from 2 different vendors on Ebay. Shipping cost more than the parts, but I bought 2 of each part and the total was less than $9.00 and they arrived in 4 days..
I later found there was a TV repair tip area here, but the Google search found this thread first.
Keep up the good work. I may start a new thread for my newer Sanyo TV.
Thanks again. |
