My brother has a Philips 50" DLP TV model 50PL9126D/37 the tv power light is flashing blue. 6 long and 5 short. this tv has a red light that would indicate a burned out bulb so I figured it couldn't be a bulb. the blue light blinks and that is all you get. no picture or sound. does anyone know what that would be. thanks

I would remove the lamp and most times by looking at it one can tell if it is bad
