Hi,

I have been given a 55" Philips projection tv that looks like a non runner. The model is 55PP35217. When you switch it on the power button lights up red and flashes when you use the remote control.

I've taken the back off it and cannot see any obvious problems. Is there any service manual available or does anyone know this type of tv and can try pointing me towards any likely faults?

any filament glow in the CRT.
Can you tell if you have high voltage?

There is no sign of life in any of the bulbs. I wouldn't know how to tell if I have high voltage.

Currently I am going to replace the fuses on the boards and check/replace any domed capacitors.
