I have a Philips model # 30pw8869/17 HDTV that has a red tint and retrace lines. When the channel is changed or it is powered on it goes completely red for a moment. I plan on changing all the bad electrolytic Caps and trying to narrow down the red driver circuit. Does anyone happen to have the schematics for this model or has run into this problem before. I am no expert with TV repair so any help and information would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the info I’ll try to order and replace that IC. Do you think it may be the CRT itself? I crossed the red transistor with the green on the CRT PCB and the problem was still there. I read on another forum that this is how the CRT is checked.

Before you replace part you can try turning down the red G2 control a bit. Usually if the IC is bad the picture will get more and more red until the set goes into shutdown.

Previous post was because there has been an issue with these Ic's but if turning down the red resolves the problem the problem could be the G2 controls themselves.

hope this helps.
