19'' Polaroid Flat Tv

Model # TLA-1911C
TV COMES ON FOR ABOUT 15 SEC THEN TV GOES BLACK BUT THE SOUND STILL ON
WHEN U TURN OFF THE TV- PICTURE COMES ON AGAIN THEN GOES TO BLACK AND U CAN STILL HEAR THE MOVIE
CAN SOMEONE HELP ME AND TELL ME WHAT GOES BAD ON THIS FLAT TV..

If LCD, shine flashlight close to screen and see if you see any video. If so, have a back light problem. Anything from puffed lytics in power supply to bad CCFL lamps themselves.
