It has a thin line through center of screen. Looks like it is the vertical size circuit. There is a vertical size pot, but when I adjust it nothing happens. I ordered a set of schematics on line, but they are not detailed enough for me. Does anyone have any original quasar literature for this unit?. I would really like to see what the factory manual has to say about the vertical circuit,
Thanks
Richard

try replacing the vertical IC. check the front page of this website for a similar repair. You can inspect the original for broken solder traces first.

Problem seems to be solved, (I got this unit off the curb), When the vertical ic went out, the previous owner must of messed with the front accesable adjustments.. I set video to normal and picture jitter and colour overdriven problem is gone.....Thanks for the feedback and help....
