Hi folks, newbie Vince here. Thanks for being here. I'm getting tired of trashing perfectly good electronics because of a 10 cent part that crapped out. I've never worked on a TV but didn't just fall off the back of a turnip truck either. I've soldered project pc boards but troubleshooting is why I'm here for your help. I'm a SAFETY FIRST guy as I'm sure we all are. Thanks for any advise and help.

RCA ColorTrak Plus 32"
Mfg Date: Feb 1998
Mod#: F32672SB
Chassis#: CTC187CJ3
Serial#: 808371770
Service#: F32672SBFM3

History working backwards:

* - Dead. Went out with a click, came back on momentarily with another click or 2 and pic shrunk and disappeared. Unplugged at that point. Not on since.
* - last month - turned on and pic was 10% faded out and red was double vision, especially when in motion. Additionally, faint but visible horizontal lines spaced about 1" apart.
* - last 3 years - on power up, clicks and I have to wait and see if pic comes up, If not, hit POWER again and it always works on the second try. Minor problem that I can live with, but while I got it apart............

Thanks for any help folks. They got us by the short hairs with their disposable electronics but I'm gonna put up a fight.

I'll post pics and document my progress.
