Hi,
I have a 52' RCA HD52W58 flat screen TV. (Chassis # ATC321, manufacture date 2004)
Yesterday when I tried to turn it on, nothing happened (no light turned on, no hum as far as I could tell), but I smelled a faint burning smell. I unplugged it immediately.
I took off the back and looked around but didn't see anything that looked burned.
Any thoughts on the likely culprit? I realize this is an old TV so it wouldn't be a big surprise for it to give out. Still, up to now it's worked great (even if the picture isn't as good as it used to be), so I'm hoping it's some single element that can be repaired cheaply.
Is it worth me having a technician come out to look at?
Thanks in advance for any help. |
