hi,first time on this forum or any forum.i have a samsung hcn4226w hdtv
and when i went to turn it on last night it just made a noise through the speakers like it was coming on as always but didn't.no pic and no sound.
the 3 bulbs light up faintly and what i believe to be the flyback? is getting hot.about a month ago i replaced the convergence board and has been fine except that i couldn't get a remote to program on it.related?any thoughts?thanks in advance

If the crts are lighting faintly the set is turning on, yes???
If the crts lighting faintly, the flyback is working, if it was not you would not have faintly lit crt's.
If you turn up one of the screen controls the corresponding color will increase in brightness. Just no video.

Check R431 on the deflection board for overheating. Also check the video output ic's for overheating or burning. You can also check to see if one of the video output ic's is dead cold, indicating full failure which would also cause the video to blank.
The microprocessor monitors all three crt's for IK balance. If it looses one of the IK lines it will deliberatly blank the video.
