Hi,
I have Samsung HLN617W DLP TV. It is about 5 years old. Bulb on this TV broke (when I took it out, I can see that filament was broken). I bought new bulb and put back in.(New bulb is exacly same has old one). Now issue is that when I turn on TV, I see screen comes on for about 3 sec and then it shuts off TV. After that all three lights in front of TV starts blinking.
After a while all blinking lights stop blinking and TV shuts off completely.

If I hit power switch, same thing happens meaning TV comes on for about 3 secs and shuts off.

After checking few internet sites, I replaced Ballast but problem is still there. When I hit power switch, It goes to startup sequece, meaning fan starts, Buld comes on(I checked from bacck of TV), Color wheel starts(I hear noice) and then screen comes on for about 3 secs and then everthing stops.

I also tried to reset bulb counter by hitting 'Mute, 1, 8, 2 and power" buttons on remote but when I do that nothing happens on TV. Is there any thing else can I do?

I already spent $215 on parts so far and hope to solve this issue without any more expenses.

If anyone out there have any other suggestion, please let me know.

Thanks for help..
Nitesh
