I just changed the color wheel in my Samsung R67-68W. Everything was working fine until the color wheel came apart a couple days ago.

Now that I have installed the new wheel, the t.v. tries to turn on a few times, then just turns off. While it is trying to turn on, the LAMP light flashes. When it turns off all three lights in front are flashing.

I tried this with the back cover installed so the safety switch should not be the issue.

I reinstalled the old color wheel and the tv fired right up, bad picture and bearing noise, but lamp and picture came on.

So figuring I got a broken wheel in the first time, I ordered a second wheel and it does the same exact thing as the first, no lamp, no picture, set tries to come on but nothing.

The part number of the wheel I am installing is BP96-01103A

Any ideas on what is going on?

Thanks in advance for your help.

When you brought the color wheel there should have been a paper inside with cca settings /index settings / excul. These settings must be done or color wheel will not operate correctly. Where did you buy the wheel? Call them and tell them the information did not come with the wheel. (Each wheel has different information). Wink

If the color wheel does not rotate the unit will do as you describe. Make sure that you are installing the flexible pcb from the new color wheel with the correct orientation.
