A friend of mine gave me this DLP a few days ago, It was stored in the garage. Well when I turned the tv on everything powered up nicely and then the setup screen appears with thousands upon thousands of little white dots all over the screen. I plugged a video game in and get the same picture, you can kind of see what your playing it's just those little white dots!!!! There is a crack in the middle of the front screen,could this possibly be the problem?Thanks for all who looks and gives feedback...

looks like the light engine is the problem
