Hello Everyone

This is my first attempt to repair a TV. I some how got old and need a hobby, so I found this tv on craigs list and have been trying to fix it.

The TV has great sound but no picture what so ever. No dots, no flashing, just pretty black screen. The relays seem to click right in and there are no repeats.

Everything I read so far said to look for a blown cap, but try as I might I can not find one. So I need a little guidenance on how to trouble shoot farther.

The back is off and my meter is ready.

**UPDATE**

I have found a schematic of the power supply chain and it appears to be good. All the voltage test points on the two power boards are within tolerance.

according to the trouble shooting steps next is *REPLACE*

Y drive board
X Drive Board
Logic board

and finally the upper and lower y buffer boards.

I was hoping to get a little closer than replacing all the boards... can anyone lend a hand?

MOre updates

I appears the problem is with the Y main and the two buffer boards...

a smart guy would probably just replace the boards but I am hoping to find a way to fix them.

Any help is appreciated
