Samsung LN37A550P3FXZA
The set is completely dead - not even a relay click when the power button is pushed. After opening it up, and looking for any obvious problems, I noticed 3 caps with slightly bulged tops. They are marked on the PC as CB852, CM853, AND CM858. Would these have anything to do with with this problem? Should I replace them and see if it makes any difference? The serial number is ALXQ3CSQ604253T and the version is AA01. |

This issue is caused by problem with the power supply in the stand-by circuit. When capacitors are the issue, the TV doesn't turn on but it has stand-by (red light in front). The best solution is replace the whole power supply. You can find a used power supply very cheap online. |

I found 3 1000mf @ 50V caps in the parts stash, so I just went ahead and replaced them. TV seems to be working OK. Thanks for the support.
