Samsung LN37A550P3FXZA
The set is completely dead - not even a relay click when the power button is pushed. After opening it up, and looking for any obvious problems, I noticed 3 caps with slightly bulged tops. They are marked on the PC as CB852, CM853, AND CM858. Would these have anything to do with with this problem? Should I replace them and see if it makes any difference? The serial number is ALXQ3CSQ604253T and the version is AA01.

This issue is caused by problem with the power supply in the stand-by circuit. When capacitors are the issue, the TV doesn't turn on but it has stand-by (red light in front). The best solution is replace the whole power supply. You can find a used power supply very cheap online.

I found 3 1000mf @ 50V caps in the parts stash, so I just went ahead and replaced them. TV seems to be working OK. Thanks for the support.
