Folks:
I have a Sanyo AVM 3259G television and hope to be able to adjust the horizontal picture. I watch a lot of Formula 1 and lately, the top of the screen showing first position and the lapcounter is out of the screen view.

I understand there are adjustments that can be made using the service codes, but I have not attempted this before. I can access the service menu, but don't know where to go from there.

I believe you want Vertical Size (#7 / VS). Arrow UP/DOWN to move to item you want to adjust. (Note original value, in case you want to put back.)"+"/"-" to adjust the item. Menu to exit.

The Menu opened up to #7 VS. I took a digital photo of the original setting, than hit the - (minus) key a few times which dropped the top of the screen back into view. I'm good to go - Thanks!

It should have also brought the bottom up, which may or may noy be an issue.

IF the set continues to "require readjustment," you would be better off finding the defective part (an electrolytic, most likely) and replacing it. Wink

Thanks, I'll keep any eye on it. I though the problem was with my local cable system, vs the set. It's almost 10 years old, I guess some problems are bound to crop up.
