Subject: Sanyo Dp32649 - No picture, only green led comes on (stays on until you switch unit off)
What I know so far:
1. Power supply board. Standby voltage 5V is present on pin 4
2. When power switch is pressed, the other line voltages come up on 13 pin connector and remain on until you power TV off. ( I am assuming the power supply is not defective based on these voltage measurements)
3. "Power failure circuit" check on main board IC1620 pin 2 has 3.3v, IC1670 pin 2 has 9v. Still need to track down IC1640 pin 3 to verify 5volts and IC001 12v. All four of these feed into pin 48 which in the Sanyo service manual indicates it is in a normally "high" state (does that mean 5volts?) when switched on.
I am looking for some assistance or ideas on next steps. I have searched this forum and several others for information on this model of TV for trouble-shooting ideas and gotten this far. I am hoping someone has ran into the same issue and can point me in the right direction. Like the old saying - Knowledge is Power" so any help is greatly appreciated. |

Thank you for the reply. I also suspect the main board however if wrong, I wasted $75 on a non-working TV.
I have read several post indicating the main display itself has found to be defective on this model. They recommended disconnecting/reconnecting the cable from the main board which runs up towards the top center of the TV. You should see flickering according to the post and if you do not the display panel is defective.
I am going to try this in evening since it will take two people. One person to work the cable in the back and one to watch the screen. |

You could buy this one. If it doesn't fix it, Resell it. |

May NOT be the correct one. According to SJ:
Please verify you are ordering the correct part by finding the 4-5 digit code on the side of the tuner. Sanyo models have multiple variations of the same model.
P32649-05 supposedly uses 1LG4B10Y04100
Other variants appear to use 1LG4B10Y03000
The pictures of the two boards do NOT match one another.
It also appears that they use (at least) five "N7Hx" codes.
Whether one is interchangeable with the other??? |

Thank you all for the info...I have been searching Ebay for a low cost board. My main board on the tuner has "N7HE" on the label so the fella who mention you have to be careful and use the correct main board with the correct "N7Hx" was spot on.
Still looking for info if there is something easy to check on the main board to confirm it is defective before spending the money on a used one. Any info is appreciated. |

For the folks following this thread, after several hours of research I came across a website that pointed to a link where you could pull schematics with trouble-shooting guides. When I searched DP32649 they had two version, the standard and a special edition for DP32649-05 which was the model I had.
As I mentioned earlier, I had the standard version where all the voltages checked out OK and was reluctant to guess on a main board. With the DP32649-05 special addition schematic, they had an additional check at K8L pin 3 for 3.3volts. This was not present on my TV set which confirmed the main board was in fact defective.
I just purchase a main board from Ebay and set now works.
Lessons learned:
Make sure you get the right main board by getting the number on cable tuner (mine was N7HE and they vary between sets).
Follow the "special edition" service manual only for DP32649-05 TV sets.
Hope this info helps....... |

farside, can you provide us with a link to the site that has the schematics? I have a Sanyo 58" LED that has similar issues, and a schematic would be helpful. Thanks! |
