The screen has turned grey, and it has white diagonal lines going through the screen. The volume still works, but can't get the screen to work. Model # is HT27546 Chassis # is HT27546-01

I'm not sure what you mean by all inputs, but I can hear everything, but the picture on every channel is grey with white angled lines in it

Does set have any auxilary INPUTs? Like where you'ld hook a DVD/DVR?VCR etc.? And if so, are they exhibiting the SAME problem?

Yes I was hooked into a Direct TV Box and a DVD player, but the Screen stayed Grey with the white lines even after they were disconnected.

BEFORE you disconnected Direct TV & DVD player .... Did they both ALSO produce grey screen, or did THEY work O.K.?

They both produced a grey screen, but now I have them hooked up to another TV, and everything work's fine. It has to Be the TV, because the TV that they are hooked up to now has a clear colorful picture.

As you just said, your problem lies with the TV. Whether trying tuner or any A/V Inputs, you still have audio and a grey screen (with white retrace lines), but the video is missing.
So far, the only thing I can say for sure is the tuner is most likely not the cause.
How much, if any, experience do you have with taking voltage readings, soldering, etc.?
