hi
have a sharp model t.v that does not seem able to get all the t.v channels
at the moment iam only getting one t.v channel ,while the rest seems to drift, does not seem to lock in and simply does not show on the screen.
being a novice electroincs person..i take it the RF tuner(silver mettalic box) could be bad or have a dry joint.
i have re-soldered all the joints around the RF tuner and also open the tuner and resoldered the inside of it as well..this has not seemed to help at all.
There seems to a zener diode close to the tuner the seems to be giving a stragne reading ...is this could be a problem?
what components should i be looking for..should i change all the electroic caps around the tuner and the resistor as well..before i chanfe the tuner as the tuner is quite expensive at the moment.
Thanks

You are SURE you DO NOT have an antenna / signal / signal strength problem?
You HAVE, for example, taken another, similarly equipped set, placed it in the SAME location, and connected the SAME antenna / antenna lead to it, and it works fine on every station? |
