sharp LC-60C6600U

If I plug in the tv and push the power button it acts like it's trying to turn on but then just stops and goes off. Other then a quick flash nothing on the screen ever lights up but the white standby light on the bottom comes on for about 10 seconds then goes off. If I push the power button again nothing happens unless I unplug it and plug it back in. There is a red light on the main board that remains lit after the initial power button push. As far as I can tell all the voltages listed on the power supply check out ok. Is there a way I can test the main board? Any other advice would be greatly appreciated.

Messed with it a little more and if I push the power button on the tv a few times then hold it in something flashes on the screen I can read what input its in. I can press the input buttons to change the input but never can get the picture to stay on longer then a split second.

I've seen similar behavior due to dead LEDs on this generation of units.

I'm not certain that is the cause, but mention it suggesting that it's worth looking into.

Appreciate the advice. Going to look for a service manual and see what kind of damage I can do. lol
