I've already tried replacing all 4 boards (t-con, main, inverter, and power). I can unplug the t-con board, turn the tv on and the symptoms are exactly the same. Could it be one of the cables or could the screen have gone bad? Thanks |

How 'new' were these replacement boards?
Brand 'new'? (From factory - never installed in a set).
Or Just 'new' to you? (Pulled from {a supposedly working} broken screen, 100% fully tested, etc., TV).
OR
Presuming all 'good' boards ... that should only leave the panel itself. Could it have 'fallen' off a truck? |

I tried two different sets of supposedly working main boards and tcon boards. The tv was working fine, the picture just didn't come on when it was turned on one day. You can see the panel come on when you power on the tv. It will go from completely black to kinda a really dark gray. |

So only tried one each inverter and power board?
The backlights come on and stay on? Well that's something at least.
Don't suppose that between black and going to dark gray that you can see a Sharp logo or bring any OSD up? |

The back lights do come on and stay on. I don't see any logo on the screen, it stays blank the entire time. I think it is either the panel or the cable that connects the tcon and main boards. When it first started I took the back panel off and tightened all the ground screws on the boards. It worked for about a day after that. Are there any easy ways to test the panel? |
