I have a KP-46wt510. It was given to me by a neighbor. He said that he zapped it trying to hook up the antenna or DVD player or something. Well I hooked up power to it an it says, right in the middle of the screen, kinda in green, with some static showing, Autozap and a 3 or 8 not sure. I have not hooked up a cable to the direct TV dish that we have.

Is this normal ? I don't see anything in the operating Instructions book about this.
Can I split the signal coming out of the receiver box ?
Will both TV's be on the same channel then?
Is it better to use the TV's remote ? can I ?

any thoughts or help will be appreciated. It's to big an nice looking to throw away...I think
