This sony projection set is blinking on and off just like the direct views do with a weak crt.
The pix is also missing green and has a poor blue/red pix.
Do these projection sets have the same auto crt bias circuits like the direct views and is that what's causing the blinking? Thanks for any enlightenment you guys can provide !

Yes, these have an AKB circuit in them that will cause this symptom when the master screens are too low. You very likely have weak CRT's and probably cannot obtain B&W tracking. If you can adjustd the master screens to keep your raster that will only be a temporary cure. If you change the CRT's you need to change them all which will probably price the job beyond the customer's willingness to buy it.
