I don't think Sony is your brand! Laughing Switch to ACME (Wile E. Coyote's supplier).

As usual: Power Supply (only "notes" I have for the "model" are about bad solder joints on the two 9 volt regulators) and Horizontal Output for starters.

Hello, I finally was able to crack the case on this TV and take a look. I found a solder connection on one of the 3 leg dual diode ic's that looked like it was missing solder all together. then I re flowed several joints. I did replace one cap that was 35v 2200 uf that tested bad. then I connected everything back up and now I have a beautiful picture. but no sound. This is my question. does sony make a TV that has no internal speakers. I have looked on the inside of this set and there is no speakers. so I don't know if the person before me took them out or if the set came this way. I did notice on the sound board that there is two connections. A white one and and red one. that looks like speaker plugins. I have worked on a xbr before that had speakers floating off of the back of the tube and connected to the chassis.

Which is it Diodes or IC? Can't be both! (9V reg perhaps Wink )

I've got a Sony 27" (KV-27xbr50?) uses 3 detachable speakers. 2 smaller hook on thumbscrews on left & right of cabinet and plug into Speaker connectors on rear. Larger Bass speaker sits on top (matches slope on the cabinet back) and plugs into a round plug on back above speakers connectors.
