Can anyone suggest a cure for a "golden oldie"?The set is a Sony KVM1421U which is being used with a PVR connected via the scart input. The problem is the sound will start to break up and come and go and eventually disappear. This will happen a couple of minutes after switch on.The sound will come back on and off at different levels. No amount of freezer and hair dryer treatment helps.Any help would be great. |

This sounds like the makings of a bad tuner, but you indicated it was through the SCART input. So in that case, it's probably a bad solder joint. |

If thinking AFT drift (AFT detector coil adjustment), the tuner picture would have to be affected too, but as he states its via scart. |
