Terry ,Measure collector voltage of Horiz output transistor when first turn on it should check 135 volts breifly. If it is low and checks 60 to 80 volts unsolder collector of HOT and see if it comes up when first turn on.If it does flyback probably bad.but if you have briefly 135 volts on collector of HOT. Then i woluld replace IC8002 MCZ3001DB these ICS go bad all the time. Also IC702 TDA6108 on picture tube socket module sometimes will short out and cause the set to immediately to shut down. You can unsolder the IC or pull the plug on CRT board and see if it stays on .Hope this Helps Bob

Terry ,If remember right you won't get 135 volts on collector on Hot if IC8002 MCZ3001DB is bad.But these MCZ3001DB go bad alot.

I have this TV running but it has a narrow pix with slight pin cushioning.
Just got manual but if anyone has a suggestions I'm open for one, thanks.

I think we are missing something here, your first post said the set
was dead. I saw nothing about you getting it running. That makes it a
bit hard to follow.

I think I did say it is running except that the pix is narrow and horiz. &
stretched vertically. I still haven't got to the problem. B + is 135V.
horiz. freq. is right.

How I got this set to start up is that the customer or some other tech had
the wiring messed up. I found the right wiring and presto, it came up with
the narrow and stretched vertical raster.
