Make: Toshiba
Model: 34HF85C (2005)
Chassis model: PS 94V0 (not sure)
Hello,
My up to now faithful CRT HD TV just stopped working yesterday morning.
The night before, everything was 100% normal. The next morning,
It wouldn't power on.
When I turn it on with the remote or with the chassis power button, I can hear a normal click and see the power LED turn on. After about half a second, I hear another click as I would hear when I turn off the set. While all of this happens, I can hear a slight popping sound coming from the speakers. Nothing happens on the screen and no audio is heard.
There was no other symptoms like burn smell or blow up sound.
Is there hope for an easy fix ?
Thanks !
Max. |

NOT Chassis # (I didn't observe one in/on the service manual).
Cabinet Cabinet Front PS 94V0 DECABROM
Cabinet Rear PS 94V0 NON-DECABROM
Start by checking innards visually. Look for discolored parts, bad solder joints, etc. Check fuses for opens. Check horizontal output device for shorts.

Hi !
Thanks for your answer.
I saw nothing wrong with any of the parts. The solders look good.
Is there any record about usual defects on this TV model ?
Thanks.
