I aquired this unit from an e-cycler and probably paid too much but, what the heck. I am a trained tech in the area of computer hardware and have had my share of lcd repairs. These TV's may have the same components basically with the obvious extra to allow it to recieve signal tv. So, I am a novice and was hoping for some help. Heres what I know:
It was dropped far enough to crack the plastic on one corner but no component damage to the best of my limited knowledge. I have (suspecting backlight issue) have replaced both Master and Slave inverter boards and still nothing changes. Physically, the backlights look fine and nothing appears to be in a non-contact state i.e. loose connectors or broken wires. I have a complete parts unit that came with it so I have parts but need to know if anyone can tell me how to troubleshoot or use this info I have given to help me isolate the components(s) affectied. The issue is that when powered on the right side is dimmer than the rest and sometimes when it becomes warmer it fine or if turned off and then on again it slights completely. It is not that much more dim than the left side but is obvious and needs your help and thanks all. Peace
