Toshiba 35" TV
Model CF3564B
First off, I am an Electronics Engineering Technician, and feel quite confident with repairing electronics myself, however I have very limited experience with TV's, so help from you guys would be great!!
I have been having issues lately whereby when I first turn it on, I am only getting a blue screen, faintly showing the picture with shades of blue. Also, there is a horizontal line pattern shown (assuming from the electron gun). After a few minutes, the TV will 'kick in' and all colors will be shown. I have dealt with this for a while, but now it seems to be taking longer each time I turn it on.
I love this TV, and bought it a while back for cheap. Even though it is getting old, it has a great picture and works great once 'warmed up'.
Any help is greatly appreciated! |

Note and monitor the DC voltage on the blue cathode at its CRT socket pin. When the set acts up, note the voltage reading (should change dramatically). Carefully unplug the CRT board from the CRT while the set is still playing as you watch the voltage. If the voltage reading returns to what it was when the set was working normally - has bad CRT. If doesn't change - has a problem on CRT board (or main chassis). Could also CAREFULLY TAP CRT neck glass to see if will make it act up (or clear up). |

I haven't had a chance yet to measure the voltages, however here is a picture for reference:
