Hello,
Is there a way that I can set the Screen control to the original settings?
Before the tv has no picture. The filaments are lit on the crts so by troubleshooting the vertical deflection I turned or move the screen controls to see the horizonta line. I had replaced the vertical output IC and now there is picture but not sharp as before, i think now the screen controls are out of alignment.. Please help..
Thank you much.... |

This is one way to do. It is not the only way, and it may not be the best way, but it is quick and works with most sets.
Turn ALL screen controls down all the way. With set on observe screen of red CRT and SLOWLY rotate red G2 control clockwise. Picture should become brighter. If control is turned too high or too fast the TV may shut down or retrace lines will appear on the screen. Correct point is just a little below point where retrace first became visible. MARK this control and turn back down. Repeat with other two, leaving the last one up. bring other two back up to the marks you made. Should be close enough for government work.
You mentioned "not sharp as before," while you're doing each screen control, you could also be sure focus for each is at optimum setting. |
