I bought a new lens cleaner and inserted it in a dvd player that was not sensing any type of disc initially, well it read this one (the cleaner) but after cleaning, it would only play VCD's and not DVD's. On the cleaner set,it says vcd/dvd lens cleaner but the dvd player shows that the cleaner is a vcd, could this also be a problem?
In the set there is a radium bottle that i didn't use because i don't know where,when and how to apply it (the directions are in chinese). Could this too help

Whether its a DVD or VCD, it's cleaning the same lens. I think you use the cleaner on the brushes of the disc before you insert it. The wet brushes clean the lens inside the player.
