My lcd tv just blinks green and then stays on red. I don't have the remote. What should I check on it? Where can I get a repair manual? I already tried their tech support with no luck at all. Also is ViewSonic the same as Samsung?

Oh yes I'm very much a beginner. I haven't even opened it yet. I need to learn more about it first. So far I know that it could just be that the power is locked. Or it may need new capacitors on the power board , or a fuse. If this is the case I will need to practice soldering. ha ha ha Everyone seems to think power board capacitors . Oh well majority rules huh?? Guess I'll have to bite the bullit and open it. Drat! Have you worked on this model before? If so what would you suggest? Thanks for answering. Cool

What? You thought that there would be a key combination that would cure it?

"The power is locked." Well, how would it get that way (or by whom)?

Opening it up and examining it (for spent rounds?) is the best next course of action.
