Vizio m3d550kd no signal. Thx you in advance
It seems as if all my hdmi ports have died. I'm looking for what specific part I should order. Basically, here is what I have:

Vizio TV
Direct TV Receiver
Yamaha RX-v477 AV Receiver (Brand New bought it Sunday)

Set-Up
1. Direct TV Coax Cable to Direct TV Receiver. Obviously
2. Direct TV hdmi OUT to Yamaha Receiver Input 6
3. Yamaha AV receiver OUT to Vizio TV.
Basically, everything is run through the Yamaha Receiver.

Now, when I turn everything on I briefly get sound from the television program but I get no picture. Then, 10 seconds later the Vizio Screen displays "NO SIGNAL." Then, immediately the sound stops and everything goes dead. The Direct TV and Yamaha Receiver stay on but no sound. The Vizio TV immediately turns itself off.

However, if I disconnect the hdmi cable FROM the VIzio TV and power everything on, the sound from the Yamaha receiver stays on and doesn't drop the sound. I obviously just don't have a picture but the sound does stay on with the hdmi cable NOT plugged into the TV.

Does this make sense? I've tried every hdmi port behind the tv and it's the same issue.

One other thing, if I just turn on the tv I am able to use the smart functions on the tv if I have nothing else turned on. In other words, if I don't power on the Direct TV receiver or Yamaha receiver I can access all the smart functions and menus on the tv. It's only when I try to run something through the hdmi ports do things go crazy.

What board should I replace? The Main motherboard with the hdmi/rgb/computer ports?

Also, I've tried different cables and it's the same issue.

Thank you so much in advance,

TexasDude

based on your description, I would suspect the receiver as the culprit.
Is there a software update for it?

You could confirm it by connecting the DirecTV box directly to the TV.

The receiver isn't the problem. I tried hooking up the DirectTV box directly to the tv and no picture. In addition, I connected the DirectTV up to another tv and it works great. So, the problem is the tv.

I purchased a Motherboard on-line with the hdmi inputs etc. I'm hoping that is the problem.

Thoughts?

What I also found odd was that when I tried the different hdmi ports I would see a tiny spark as I pushed in the chord. Is this normal?

Yeah, just replaced motherboard and everything is golden. Simple procedure, but you have to be careful taking off the mini connections to the board. They are fragile.
